Our Vision
Soroptimist International is committed to a world where women and girls together achieve their individual and collective potential, realize aspirations and have an equal voice in creating strong, peaceful communities worldwide.
The Soroptimist mission is to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment.
Soroptimist International of La Jolla (SILJ) is a club within the Soroptimist International of the Americas (SIA), a global women’s organization whose members volunteer to transform the lives of women and girls. SIA members number over 80,000 in 130 countries and territories. We are particularly committed to providing women and girls access to the most effective path to self-determination and success: education.
Clubs participate in the Dream Programs. These programs ensure women and girls have access to the education and training they need to reach their full potential.
