Soroptimist International of La Jolla won 4 awards for its 2017 performance. They were presented by SIA (Soroptimist International of the Americas) at the Fall Conference of the SI Desert Coast Region in El Centro, CA.

SILJ is Showcased in theThe 59th Annual La Jolla Christmas Parade & Holiday Festival was attended by thousands of children and adults from all over San Diego. Our Soroptimist Club was showcased in a 1964 shiny Cadillac convertible owned & driven by Steve Raskind, friend of member Debra Levine. Riders were Diana Hill, Sharilyn Gallison, and Maureen Murphy. Walkers were Gaylyn Boone and Vickie Riggs. A prominent banner was carried by UCSD students Kristina Ryan and Daylin Anderson, future members of Soroptimist International of La Jolla. Thanks go to Maureen Murphy (Owner/Hotelier of the La Jolla Village Lodge), and Steve Raskind (Entrepreneur & Classic Car enthusiast), for making SI La Jolla the highlight of the parade.
